Highest Mark

Well I am not going to go on as to why I am the greatest because we could be here forever lol jk. Therefore, I'm going to keep this nice and short.

Why should I get the highest mark imaginable?
Well...

1. I'm always one time for your class
2. I always hand-in my assignments on time
3. I'm well behaved during class
4. I have a pretty good attendance
5. I have a good mark in your class already so you might as well just give me a higher mark to make my report card look nice

Celebrity - Janice Dickinson

I would want to be Janice Dickinson if I had the choice to pick what celebrity I would like to be. I picked Janice Dickinson because she is successful with her career. She began her career as a model and now she runs her own modeling agency. Also, she has a bad ass attitude that allows her to be respected in her career. Since Janice has a bad ass attitude no one takes advantage of her of her career. On top of her success she is a style icon even at the age of fifty. Although, many people think she is a b*tch but that is what it takes to be extremely successful in the modelling industry.

My Favorite Possession

My favorite possession is my cell phone because I am always on my phone. I need my cell phone to feel connected to everyone and it makes making plans a lot easier. Also, if anything goes wrong you have your cell phone to call someone. My phone is a pink LG Venus and it is a touch screen. At first touch screen was annoying but I got used to it. You can say I'm a little too dependent on my phone but I'm trying to cut down on texting because my bill beyond ridiculous.

What will I be doing at 75?

Well at 75 I plan to look good for my age; fit and no wrinkles, thanks to the wonderful invention of botox. Also, I plan to be retired and wealthy living in Hawaii in a large beach house. I want to be one of those over the top grandmothers because you only live once so you better enjoy it. I would tan everyday on the beach, go for a run, and eat lots and lots of food. I would like to date younger men as well since I do not plan to be married at the age of 75, either I will be divorced or my husband passed away. I would still continue partying and hopefully have one best friend whose 75 and also an over the top grandmother. All in all, Hawaii would be where I would seek my youth rather then dwell on how old I am in an retirement home with two meal plans to choose from.

24 hours to live...

If i had 24 hours to live I would try to squeeze as much activity in as possible. I would defiantly spend some time with my family. Then I would invite all my friends and family to a tropical place just to party for the remaining time I have on earth. Oh!!! and ... just before that we would all stop at McDonald's and order as many Jr. chickens possible and eat them all. Also, I would give away all my shoes to my best friend because I wouldn't want those to go to waste. Before, we all went to a tropical island I would get my hair done because I enjoy getting my hair done... I'd probably get a mohawk or something just because it's one of the last things I'd do. Overall, I would just like to leave the earth partying rather then saying good bye.

Ideology of Poetry

I would have to agree with Wordworth when he stated, "Poetry is a spontaneous overflow of powerful feelings." This is because everyone can find and express their own emotions in poetry. Then when someone reads the piece of poetry they can integrate their own emotions and feelings towards the poem. This supports the idea that poetry is a spontaneous overflow of powerful feelings. Personally, I choose to write poetry based on my own experiences and mood. Therefore, I can create my own powerful feelings for someone else to engage their own powerful feelings in my poem. It is amazing how one piece of poetry can mean so many things depending on who reads the poem. This is all based on the chosen words the poet uses.

A curse or a gift?

Seeing into the future was suppose to be a gift but it turned into a curse. I thought it would be interesting to see the future so I change it to my liking. I believed that I could change:

- how I looked like
- my career
- my family
- my wealth
- my shoe collection
- getting sick
- getting in accidents
- avoiding all danger

Basically, change everything I had into something better. This is because if I could see the future I could change the present so the future will end up better.

Reality Check... So not the way it ended up. Changing the future is changing your faith which just makes your future the exact opposite of what you wanted it to be. Also, I have no fun in life because I know what's going to happen. This makes me cautious of everything, which is boring. Therefore, it is a total curse because I can't help but want to change it but something always goes wrong. I wish I could just go back to taking one step at a time, rather than getting caught up in changing my future.

Like they say, "You can't change faith."

September

In September I am planning on attending Brock University for a co op program in human geography. This decision dawned upon me one day when I was sitting in geography class in grade 10. That is when I realized that geography was the right career path for me. Basically, I like geography because it is easy and that is why I am successful in that class. I took geography classes throughout high school which also influenced me to apply for human geography as my career. Since grade 9 geography I was interested in physical geography but then I became interested in human geography because in grade 11 I realized how much easier it is. Basically, I want to take the easy way in life and enjoy life.

Sick

Well so much for a fun and exciting March Break I was sick and sick and sick and more sick. I drank so much green tea that it became my second water. I was stubborn and didn't want to go to the doctor but now I wish I had went. I left my house to go to the mall and about 10 times to the car dealership all because I am such a nice girlfriend, but not really. The only other time I went out was the last Saturday of March Break and had to go home again because my stomach hurt again. Basically, my March Break sucked.

High School

High school is a place where everyone finds where they belong from academics to sports many believe that high school is the best time of your life I agree because you do pretty much whatever you want and do not really have that many responsibilities the first day of high school I worried about what I wore and how other people would think of me but as the years went by I began not to care because I knew who my friends were and who wasnt I had a lot of embarrassing times throughout high school but that is what made me who I am today by caring about what I wore I always tried to look nice and for some reason always wore black whenever I go to the mall I have a problem with just picking out black clothes to buy but im not goth or anything I just like to wear black whenever I go shopping with my friends they think im weird because all I buy is black but thats okay because it is what I like then when everyone sees me at school they think I wear too much black also along with that I prefer black socks over white socks its just one of those things like when people only buy white shoes

The Encounter

One summery Saturday we were at Dunnville, like usual. We arrived there early at 9 in the morning with my sister, Alex and friend, Nikolina. Then we got our towels and made our way over to the pool area. As I was coming out of the change room to enter the pool I bumped into Nick, my old childhood friend, as he was coming out of the men’s change room. I was so shocked to see him there since he moved away when I we were 10. I looked at him and smiled but his face was all red.

I greeted him with a huge hug and said, “Hello miss me??”

He replied, “Heyy! Yes I miss you gosshhh!”

Then I noticed something was different about him other then he was so much taller and finally hit puberty.

I stated, “WOW you look different, what’s new?”

He said, “Really, I didn’t think I looked different but I guess I grew a little…”

He kept blushing so I was all confused about why he would be shy because it’s just me. Then I began to tease him like when we were younger.

I implied, “Why are you blushing, you still have a crush on me?”

He didn’t say anything he just looked at me and smiled. Then we began to walk to put out towels down and go for a swim.

He finally replied to my answer and said, “Yea I have a crush on you, I always have.”

I was sort of on the fence about this situation because we have been friends for so long and found it weird that he liked me. Then we began to talk about all the fun times we had growing up and how he used to always stand up for me because I was a little weird. By thinking about all of those times it made me realize how much he cared for me and not just like a friend.

I finally said, “I think I liked you too when we were younger but I don’t think I do now, and I don’t think we will ever date.”

He replied hopefully, “Never say never.”

I just smiled and we enjoyed the rest of the day swimming, tanning, and eating barbeque in the picnic area.

Top 5 Movies and Books!

1. Rainbow Fish is one of my favorite children's books because it teaches the lesson that if you that being different is still normal. The author displays this by Rainbow Fish having shiny scales and the other fish don't. Therefore, being an unique individual you are still able to fit in.

2. Gia is one of my favorite movies it is about a model that had everything and lost it all due to her cocaine addiction. Throughout the movie you connect emotionally with Gia because she shows you that money doesn't buy you happiness if you aren't doing what you love.

3. Alfie is another movie that teaches you to appreciate the little things in life. Alfie is a player and then he sleeps with his best friends girlfriend and he then realizes that his life is fake and beings to change.

4. Love You Forever by Robert Munsch is a children's book that teaches you that no matter what you do your parents will always love you. The author is very repetitive with the word love and he does that to get the point across about love.

5. How to Talk to a Widower is a book about a man who becomes a widower at a young age and cannot get over his late wife. This book is exaggerated in the beginning when it comes to the widower beginning to date again. Then as you read on you begin to understand what it is like to be a widower by the exact meaning of widower that the author shows.

You would never have guessed this happened but ...

I met an alien from Mars that looked like a pear and he was purple. He said his name was bongo but he spoke in gibberish or alien language. He was calm but silly looking. Bongo had size 25 feet and wore size 30 shoes. The shoes were red which made his purple skin stand out. He was short with large feet and ginormous red shoes. Bongo loved to flap his feet around as a friendly Hello! I was creeped out bu what he thought was a friendly gesture, I thought it was discus ting. Who wants size 30 shoes flapped around in their face? Not me. I began to shout EWWW! and Bongo got upset but that was for his own good because flapping your feet in someones face is not a proper way to greet someone. His feet smelt worse than anything here on earth. But Bongo thought it smelt so good like D & G perfume, that he kept smelling his feet. Along with huge feet he has huge glasses, his head was tiny but he had meter thick green glasses. He looked so strange tiny head, tiny body but huge feet and glasses. He almost reminded me of a teletubby, but not really. Bongo had a big yellow fur coat which made him look like a pimp but his glasses made him look like a nerd, it was so hard to tell what the aliens personality was like because he was all over the place. Since the alien was a mess he just kept rambling on as if I knew what he was saying, but I was just laughing at the way he looked. An hour passed by and the alien was still rambling and I was still laughing except this time I almost peed my pants how hard I was laughing. This made the alien stop rambling on, finally! He only stopped rambling in order to open his oval shaped umbrella, but it was not raining. Then I was puzzled at why he would do that. Then he began to float up, I guess the umbrella was his space ship and that he was ready to return home to his planet, Mars. He was floating in the air when in about two minutes he flapped his feet and left earth to go home. I began to wonder if he would ever come back and visit. I waved back and the alien disappeared into the sky. I was depressed that Bongo left that i went to McDonald's to eat my feelings and order a super sized Big Mac meal. I ate it all and it was good and I solved my depression for Bongo's departure back home. So I sat in McDonald's and looked over at the edge of the table and saw a Happy Meal toy that looked exactly like Bongo, I leaped over to the table snatched the toy and WOW I couldn't believe it really was Bongo, I guess they have McDonald's even on Mars ...

...I swear to you, that is exactly how it all went down.

A Shoe

What could I be? umm... A shoe? yes that's it!

They are stylish yet then they go through everything any other object would go through. With every new shoe you have a new start then they begin to wear out. They are with you for the best times and the worst times. They go through the classy times and the not so classy times.

When you first get that new pair of shoes you take care of them and avoid dirty places but as time goes by you just don't care anymore. That is the same with life, when you start something you give it your all and then as time goes by you loose interest and its time for something new. Just like looking for that something new in life you always are looking for a new pair of shoes.

Also, with every memory you go through like your first day of school or your first date you look at those shoes and it brings you back to that moment, and all the memories resurface. Not everyone looks at shoes this way but I do and they best describe what I went through. Sometimes you don't want to remember the bad times but you do. Those shoes you wore to a funeral are the shoes you don't want to remember but they are a part of your shoe collection and your life experiences.

Shoes are always worn and walked on through everything from pavement to dog poo. Pavement is the most comman place you walk on with shoes and when you start walking on grass and step in that dog poo you just want to go nuts. Well that's life it isn't always clean and easy. If you were to never step on something gross you would never learn from that. That relates to life because when you are in a sticky situation you always learn from that day and how to avoid that if it ever happens again.

Shoes are with you all the time so why not take the time to remember what shoes you wore where ? This will allow you to remember all the good and bad things because whats the point of always remembering the good things when that is not what made you a better person.

What's the big deal about shoes? Well, they are like your shadow as you go through life.

Eating 5 Books

Books are not my favourite past time. Although, I would eat Go Ask Alice because it was one of the few books I enjoyed. I liked it because it was interesting all though the book, not just parts of the book.

One of the books I would tare apart as I eat it is Macbeth because in my opinion it was unbearable to read. It was a horrible play and my grade 11 teacher made it even worse to read. The whole experience of reading this book made me dislike reading Shakespeare plays in general.

Another book that I read in grade 11 that I want still to eat is Life of Pie. This book puts a whole new meaning to bad taste and smell. I believe this book was dragged on and pointless to read.

The Great Gatsby deserves to be eaten by pigs because it is hard to relate to. These days no teenager can relate to the 1930's Great Depression. I think that the curriculum should choose books that students can relate to.

Finally, I would pleasantly eat Smashed because it is a book that teenagers can relate to. Also, this book is interesting because of the dilemma's that the girl goes through in order to over come her addiction.

My Pet Pig

When I was about three years old and we still lived in Serbia on a farm, I used to have a pig pet. My pig pet was named Nana and she was little, fat, and pink. Nana was surprisingly clean for a pig and she used to follow me everywhere. At first i was so annoyed that the pig would not leave me alone, but then I got used to her. Once she followed me into the house and my grandmother got so mad at me and started yelling and chased the pig out of the house. After she chased the pig out of the house I ran after the pig but I could not find her. I was so mad at my grandmother that I did not want to speak to her. Then my mother came home and I told her that the pig ran away and she suggested that we go look for her. So my mom, my grandmother, and me went out to search for the pig. Then after an hour or so, my mom said that we would not be able to find the pig and I began to cry. Then i suggested that my mom checks behind the house in the ditch and she said that the pig would not be there. I had the strongest feeling that Nana was in the ditch so then I convinced my mom to go check there and she did. As my mom was bending over to check if the pig was in the ditch, Nana jumped up and took my mom down. I was so happy that we found the pig that I went to hug the pig. Then I noticed that I should not hug the pig because she looked angry. After she hit my mom she jumped and hit me in the shoulder and I fell down. Then when I got up I had to go to the doctor because I dislocated my shoulder, and I was no longer allowed to be around the pig.
Ever since the day Nana dislocated my shoulder I began to fear pigs. Then a year later we moved to Canada and my aunt took us to a petting zoo. At the petting zoo there was pigs you could feed and I just looked at the pig and began to cry uncontrollably. Even until today I am scared of pigs and will never forget that day on the farm.

all about me!

My name is Danijela Stanojcic and I am seventeen years old. I currently attend Orchard Park Secondary School and I am just finishing grade 12. I enjoy life and do as much as I can because we are here for a good time not for a long time. The extra circular activities that I am involved in are Serbian folklore dancing and water polo. Also, I do not mind having a part time job because it occupies your time and you always meet great people at work. On my spare time i like to hang out with my friends. Also, during the summer vacation I enjoy going on road trips with my friends and just relaxing on the beach. Basically, what comes my way; I take it one step at a time.

My goals after high school are to attend Brock University for a degree in geography. After attending university I plan to go to teachers college and become a high school teacher. I always wanted to be a teacher because I like to know that I am making a difference in children’s lives. I can make a difference in their lives by teaching them useful information that will lead them to a brighter future. After I have accomplished my career I would like to eventually get married and start my own family.

I chose to take writers craft in order to learn different styles or writing and to improve my writing. Also, I would like to become more imaginative and creative when writing essays and stories after completing this course. I would like to do well in this course because it is always good to have another English credit; therefore, I am aiming to achieve 85 per cent at the end of the course.

All in all, even though this class has a heavy work load I am going to be optimistic about it because it will help me in the end. I have learned over the years that being optimistic and having a positive attitude helps you get through school easier, rather than complaining about the work assigned to you, Also, I believe I can add my own personality into my writing to make it interesting. Therefore, I am going to take this class one step at a time.
